General Rules

2 teams comprised of 1 or more players per side (generally 2 per side).
1 innings per team comprised of 20 balls a side.
4 overs to be bowled by each team, consisting of 5ball overs, shared between team members.
-5 runs deducted from a teams total for every wicket lost in an innings.

How Are Runs Scored

Runs can be scored by allocating specific areas for a certain amount of runs.
Boundaries must be put in place where 4's and 6's can be determined
Running between the wickets is an optional extra if felt required for the game

How You Can Get Out

Bowled
Caught:

In a pool area or veggie patch (caught)
Window on the full (caught)
Caught in a bucket/net/hitting a designated object (fielder commonly known as "Jeffery") (caught)
Electric keeper/slips (caught)

Over The Fence
LBW:

If an LBW is plum/salmon trout, the player is atomatically out. If there is dispute between teams, the batsman recieves 1 chance, but the following close LBW shout will be out.

Stumped:

Electric stumping (ball hits the back wall and rebounds onto the stumps if the batsman is out of his crease he is out)

Run Out (optional extra)

What We Use

Here at TBC, we use a taped tennis ball as the bowlers main weapon of choice for the backyard.
Due to the short nature of the pitch and small size of the ground a tennis ball suits the WCG perfectly on match day.
Taping the tennis ball ensures some vital swing for the seam bowlers.

Other Alternatives

Incredi-ball
The Incredi-ball is the ball of choice when playing on a more lengthy wicket with a bit more space in the backyard.
Soft Plastic/ Wind-Ball
For when you need a bit more bounce out of the ball and there are a few dangerously placed windows in the backyard.
